Grades 3 – 5
10 Tuesdays, 3:30 – 5:30 pm
April 2 – June 11, 2019
Excludes April 16, 2019

Explore your ideas and learn about the ways it can translate onto the block or plate. Students will discuss   methods of contrast, and negative and positive space then use what they learn to make a print representative of the original idea. Then experiment with colors and printing methods, since it’s relief we can do all sorts of fun things while printing such as obscuring the image with pieces of paper or patterns like putting lace over the block things like that. All the while putting a continued emphasis on collage and sculpture. The prints will not be defined to 2D pieces of paper! Student will be introduced to more tactile and fiber modes of printing!

If your K-5th grade child is not being dropped off to art classes by a parent or guardian, they must be enrolled in the Snack ‘n Track program.
