Summer Program Descriptions

Choose your interests. Try new mediums.

Investigate a variety of media this summer through programming for youth through Creative Arts Workshops and for adults through our Summer Ceramics Series.

Creative Arts Workshops for Youth: Six unique weeks of creative art workshops that will explore two subjects for two hours each day, ceramics and one of a variety of other subjects including painting, illustration, screenprinting, sculpture, depending on the week.

Summer Ceramics Series for Adults: Two weeknight class sessions offer artists instruction and support to focus on throwing on the wheel as well as hand-building construction processes such as coils, slabs, and pinching. All experience levels welcome.

Ceramics Summer Series

Adult / Teen
6 Wednesdays, 6 – 8:30 pm
August 2 – September 6, 2017

The summer is what you make it. 

Students can focus on throwing on the wheel as well as hand-building construction processes such as coils, slabs, and pinching.

This class will offer participants personalized instruction to develop their skills creating artwork in clay. Artists will benefit from building and throwing demonstrations as well as instruction on decorative and finishing techniques using various glazing combinations.

We will provide inspiration, information, and encouragement for our artists to establish a voice and style for their ceramic work. All levels of ceramics experience welcome.
