Printmaking 5-5-5

Adult / Teen
Tuesdays, 9:30 am – 2:30 pm
September 27 – November 29, 2016

Five sessions, five hours, five techniques.

Based on the art school model, each class meeting is a considerable block of time, meeting five weeks, every other week, with an instructor and having five weeks of independent class time during the other weeks, totaling 24 hours of independent time.

Classes begin with a demonstration or thematic discussion and the “extended class format” gives students the opportunity to dive deeply into the process.

We will explore a variety of monotype techniques including stencils, resists, carborundum, stamps and transfer prints to create layers of luminous color and serial prints rather than print editions.

All levels of printmaking experience welcome.
