Programs

1st-5th Grade Arts Afterschool

Instructor: Juliet Wyse

Maud Morgan Arts afterschool is split into two cohorts based on grade: one group for 1st-2nd and the other for 3rd-5th. Please enroll your child in the afterschool group that includes their grade for Fall 2024. These groups will be split further into smaller classrooms that will rotate through different teachers and art curriculum throughout the school year. For example, a child enrolled in a day of Arts Afterschool would get a mix of ceramics, printmaking, drawing, painting, and mixed media, over the course of the year.

To help our planning and yours, we’ve set days where the curriculum will be repeated. If you’d like to enroll in more than one day of arts afterschool, we strongly encourage enrolling in two days that do not have repeating curriculum so your child will have variety throughout the week. The schedule will be as follows:

  • Mondays & Wednesdays (repeating curriculum, different from Tues & Thurs)
  • Tuesdays & Thursdays (repeating curriculum, different from Mon & Weds)
  • Fridays (different curriculum from rest of the week)

Arts Afterschool will take place in the studios at Maud Morgan Arts, and the backyard and basketball court at 20 Sacramento St. In addition to arts instruction, children will also be served a healthy snack and have some outdoor recess (indoors in inclement weather).

6th-8th Grade Afterschool

Instructor: Juliet Wyse

We offer afterschool programming for middle school students (6th-8th grade) on Mondays and Wednesdays. Throughout the school year, students will work with our instructors in mixed media printmaking/painting as well as hand-building and wheel throwing in our ceramics studio.
