
Jennifer Murphy
Jennifer Murphy received her BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts as well as her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tufts University. While she was traditionally trained as a printmaker Jennifer explores different modes of fiber, textile, mold making and sculpture processes to create installation environments.
Jennifer currently works at the Institute of Contemporary Art in the education department in addition to her varying roles at TILL where she is the gallery manager as well as the art teacher and counselor for diverse group sessions. Jennifer has worked in many different print studios such as the School of the Museum of Fine Arts where she was the shop monitor as well as the teaching assistant to woodcut artist John Schulz, Piscataqua Fine Arts in Portsmouth, New Hampshire where she spent a summer working for reduction woodcut artist Don Gorrvett, and Mixit Print Studio where she is the shop assistant. Jennifer has shown work locally and has been a part of several collaborative publications.
