Chandler Gallery Exhibitions

Chandler Gallery Hours | Monday – Friday: 10am-5:30pm

History

The Chandler Gallery began as an artist collective in the late 1970s and was known as the Sacramento Street Gallery. For many years it contributed to the community by featuring local artists. Re-named, and dedicated in 2010 in honor of artist Fay Chandler, it is now a program of the Agassiz Baldwin Community administered by Maud Morgan Arts and its mission has expanded.

Mission

The Mission of the Fay Chandler Gallery is to engage, nourish, and honor creativity within the Agassiz neighborhood while expanding and promoting connections with all of Cambridge and the wider Boston art community. Our exhibition program balances a diversity of media by professional, emerging, and student artists while showing work of the highest quality and topical interest from the greater Boston area.

The gallery asks for a donation of 30% of sales from exhibitions. All proceeds support the programs of Maud Morgan Arts.

Gallery Hours
Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 6 PMSaturdays March 14 & 21, 12 to 5 PM

The dramatic beauty of Ireland’s west coast has inspired many an artist!  The Ballinglen Arts Foundation, located in the town of Ballycastle, Co Mayo, offers workshops and residencies.  Local artists Catherine Kernan, Jane Goldman, and Wendy Prellwitz have deep connections there, traveling multiple times over many years to do their work.

Watercolors & Monotypes features a small selection of works created independently and at workshops there.  At a recent workshop in 2025, led by Wendy, Cynthia Smith & Mara Callahan painted watercolors in the landscape, which inspired watercolor monotypes, printed in the Foundation’s print shop.  In 2019, Jane Goldman led a watercolor workshop with Diane Norris and Chris Pullman.
